Nassau is suburban stock more than a walk-up story. Capes and ranches in Levittown, Hicksville, or Valley Stream often have finished cellars and a sump that ran after a wet week. South Shore towns toward Long Beach, Freeport, or Massapequa sit on a higher water table; a “dried” basement still smells in August. North Shore Colonials in Great Neck, Manhasset, or Roslyn hide wet plaster at the sill and leftover storm moisture in insulation. Split-levels share the same finished-cellar problem. Ask a licensed job for: a written scope from a licensed mold assessor, the water source named, containment, removal of wet drywall/pad/insulation in bags, and clearance by someone who did not do the tear-out. Do not accept “we spray and leave.” We do not quote from this form.
