The housing, not the slogan

Bridgeport is older housing on the Sound more than a shoreline-estate story. Black Rock and the West End two-families share party walls; a leak on one side can stain the next dining room. East Side and the Hollow triple-deckers have steam or old radiators that wet the corner in winter. Lots toward the harbor sit closer to leftover flood moisture; a “dried” cellar still smells in August. Downtown conversions add tight baths and leftover construction moisture. Finished cellars often still have carpet pad. Remediation does not legalize a cellar bedroom. Say triple-decker / two-family / cellar and which neighborhood on the form.
Ask a local job for: a written scope, the water source named and stopped, containment, removal of wet drywall/pad/insulation in bags, and a look after the work by someone who did not do the tear-out.
